This is Das Baumhaus, a newsletter about Monika Baum’s monthly personal illustration projects for portfolio building & deadline keeping.

Starting September 2022, I will be sharing what I have been busy working on in the month prior. There will be finished illustrations, work-in-progress photos, illustration prompts, drawing exercises for beginners and even some downloadable goodies!

Yes - I realize this sounds ambitious. However, I have found that I tend to be more focused in my creative output when I schedule assignments for myself in this way.

Sharing this via a monthly newsletter or blog-like publication matches my pace much better than the hamster wheel that many of the social media platforms have turned into, and I do hope you consider following along for the journey!
